About Us

My name is Ashley Simmons, I was born and raised in Pekin, Illinois. From a young age, I knew I was going to be an entrepreneur and dreamed of owning my own small business.  In 2008, I started making and selling dog treats at vendor shows.  Now I sell my pet treats in 10 small businesses around central Illinois.  For years alongside this, I also resold preloved clothing online to make some extra money.  May 31st, 2023 I quit my nursing job with the plan to take a year off to spend with my daughter.  Shortly after I quit my job my parents approached me with an idea to fulfill my dreams of opening a small business.  That’s how Take Two was created, by combining my pet treat passion with my online clothing sales.  We want to create a boutique feel without the retail price, using preloved clothing.  Also within the shop, we’ll have a pet boutique!  When it came to location, that was easy. We knew we wanted to bring more life to the growing downtown Pekin area and can’t wait to welcome you in!
